Sarah Virginia Hart

Virginia Burr Hart, 97, of Lewisburg passed away February 24th, 2019 at her home. Virginia was born in Logan Co., KY on May 26th 1921 the daughter of Walter and Lois Cook Burr. She was raised in Robertson Co., TN. She was a graduate of Middleton High School and married Wallace Hart in 1942. Virginia was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church and was a part of the Baptist Missionary organizations for 85 years. She was a warm and sociable person who enjoyed entertaining friends and cooking for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Wallace Hart, infant son Tony Glenn Hart, also two sisters, Margaret Burr, Gertrude Graef and one brother, Russell Burr. Virginia is survied by one daughter, Caroline Gibson (Roger) of Rockfield, 3 sons Ron Hart (Brenda) of Central City, Terry Hart (Barbara) and Jerry Hart (Claudia) both of Lewisburg. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Visitation for Virginia Hart will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Price Funeral Home, Inc. 252 East Green St. in Lewisburg. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00AM with Bro. Art Hatfield and Bro. Glynn Copeland officiating at Price Funeral Home, Inc. Intermentf will follow at Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery in Spa. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery or the Gideons International.
