Royce Bird Day, 77 of Toccoa, Georgia died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at his residence. He was born Saturday, September 9, 1933 in Jefferson, Georgia, the son of the late Harold Day and the late Maebelle Day. He was the husband of Patricia Whitescarver Day, who survives. He was a 20 year veteran of the U S Army. He was a member of Statham Baptist Church in Georgia. Surviving are sons, Robert L. Day - wife (Terry) of Toccoa, GA and Ricky D. Day - wife (Michelle) of Toccoa, GA, daughter, Loretta Pressley - husband (David) of Toccoa, GA, sisters, Lena Mae Kirk - husband (Billy) of Monroe, GA and Thelma Bell - husband (Robert) of Monroe, GA; 7 grand children. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert Day and Leon Day, sister, Jessie Kirk. A graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday November 7, 2010 at Fitzhugh Cemetery located at Peach Orchard Rd.
