Newel Lee Givens

Newel Lee Givens, 80 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Friday, April 23, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born Sunday, September 29, 1929 in Quality, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ford Givens and the late Aggie Beliles Givens. He was the husband of Sandra Webster Givens who survives. He was retired from TVA. He served in the Marine Corps. He was a Veteran of Korean War. Surviving are sons, James Givens - ( Willodene) of Morgantown, KY and Tommy Givens - (Meleah) of Bowling Green, KY, daughter, Theresa (Tutti) McGrew - (Ronell) of Brownsville, KY, brothers, L. C. Givens of Holland, MI, Kenneth Givens of Huntsville, KY and Edward Givens of Hesperia, MI; step daugher, Elizabeth Cooper - (Doug) of Lewisburg; step son, Veron (Swervin') Hardison of Lewisburg; 6 grand children; Jonathan Givens of Morgantown, KY, Kaci Givens of Bowlig Green, KY , Kory Givens of Bowling Green, KY, Michael McGrew of Wax, KY, Caleb Hardison of Russellville, KY, Robert Cooper of Lewisburg, KY. He was predeceased by first wife, Oma Givens; brothers, Estill Givens and Thestill Givens, sister, Myrl Brown. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Ronnie Forrest and Rev. Joe Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Butler County, KY. The family will receive friends at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
