Nell Spires, 92 of West Columbia, South Carolina died on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. She was born Sunday, August 12, 1917 in Butler County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ward and the late Bertha Ward. She was the wife of the late Wade Spires. She was a member of Brookland United Methodist Church and also member of Eastern Star New Brookland Chapter #104 in West Columbia, SC. Surviving are daughter, Betty Hare of West Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by brother, Lucian Hunt Ward. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Lewisburg Cemetery with the Rev. Bart Myers officiating.
