Harry Penrod James, 84 of Penrod, Kentucky died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at his home. He was born Tuesday, April 15, 1930 in Penrod, Kentucky, the son of the late Bradley James and the late Winnie Baker James. He was the husband of Rhoda McPherson James, who survives. He served in the military for the U.S. Army for 26 years and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Hazel Creek Masonic Lodge #842. Surviving are sons, Michael James of Huntsville, AL, David James of Wilmington, NC and Steve James of Louisville, KY, daughter, Teresa Hicks of Houston, TX; 10 grand children; 4 great grand children. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Penrod Baptist Church with the Rev. Derrick Benton and Rev. Jerry Winters officiating. There will be no visitation on Saturday before the funeral service. The burial will be private following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
