Clarence Fonzo Cox

Clarence Fonzo Cox, 103 of Penrod, Kentucky died on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Kentucky. He was born Saturday, October 28, 1905 in Belton, Kentucky, the son of the late Alonzo Young Cox and the late Timmie Jane (Tucker) Cox. He was the husband of the late Lela Irene (Rickard) Cox. He was retired from housekeeping at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital . Prior to that he was employed in the Coal Mines. He was a member of Penrod Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Surviving are daughters, Elwanda Forsythe of Penrod, KY, Cheryl Flewallen of Russellville, KY and Nelda Byrum of Greenville, KY; 5 grand children; 9 great grand children; 5 step great grand children; 4 step great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Penrod Baptist Church with Pastor Randall Forsythe, Rev.William Cook and Rev. Steve Rutherford officiating. Interment will be in Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery, Penrod, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2009, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
