Clifford Tomes, 93 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, July 12, 1917 in Butler County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Vester Tomes and the late Nellie Cox Tomes. He was the husband of Dorothy Pierson Tomes who survives. He was a Baptist. He was a retired watch maker employed by Cliff's Jewelry Store. He served in the Army. He was a Veteran of World War II at Bastone. He was a member of the American Legion and the Russellville Masonic Lodge. Surviving are son, Don Tomes of Russellville, KY, brother, Gene Tomes, sister, Lucille Wilson; 3 grand children; Corey and Jacob Tomes of Russellville and Connie Merdith of Russellville, and 1 great grand child, Chloe Merdith of Russellville. He was predeceased by son, Shelby Ray Tomes. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville, KY. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
